In short
This website is static. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and embeds no third-party content. Fonts are self-hosted on our server; no third-party font service is used. The Lysi Doc desktop app processes text locally on your machine and transmits no content.
Server log files
When you open the website, the hosting provider automatically processes information your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type and operating system. These data serve the technical delivery and security of the website and are not merged with other data sources. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are deleted after 7 days.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. A data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Purchase and payment (Stripe)
Licences are sold via Stripe Checkout. When you buy, Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland, processes the data required for the purchase: name, company, e-mail address, billing address, VAT ID if given, and payment data. We receive from Stripe the order data and the e-mail address, but no full payment-card data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract) and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR (retention duties under tax and commercial law, currently 8 and 10 years). Stripe may transfer data to the USA on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Stripe's privacy notice: stripe.com/privacy.
Licence key by e-mail
After purchase we generate a licence key and send it, together with the invoice, to the e-mail address given at checkout. Order data (name, company, e-mail, licence key, term) are stored for the duration of the contract and the statutory retention periods.
Desktop app: updates
The app checks our update server for new versions. This request transmits the app version and your IP address; no text content is ever transmitted. The automatic check can be switched off in the app menu (Updates → "Automatisch nach Updates suchen"); it can then be run manually. Update checks carry no licence or customer identifier.
Contact by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, we process the data you provide to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Data are deleted once the request is settled and no statutory retention duties apply. Please do not send unprotected original documents or third-party personal data by e-mail.
